Donald J. Trump officially captured the presidency when a joint-session of Congress certified the November 5 election with 312 electoral votes going to Trump and just 226 to Kamala Harris.

The vote total was confirmed during the certification on Monday, marking the final step in the election process before Trump formally takes back the White House on January 20.

Republicans gave a standing ovation in the chamber when Harris, serving in her role as Vice President and President of the Senate, announced Trump’s victory was now certified.

A bipartisan standing ovation broke out in the House chamber after Harris declared the joint session of Congress dissolved.

On the same day of Donald Trump’s certified election as the 47th president of the United States, the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, announced his resignation. You can read into that what you want but I think it’s fitting of the times in which we live, when socialism and communism are being rejected on a global scale.

Trudeau is calling it quits after almost a decade at the helm, and Canada’s economy continues to suffer along with the state of freedom in that country. Trudeau’s approval rating hovers below 30 percent.

Under Trudeau’s watch, Canadians saw their gun rights stripped away, along with their free speech rights. Many had their bank accounts seized by the government when they protested the Covid lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

Trudeau said during a press conference:

“I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its next move through a robust, nationwide competitive process. Last night, I asked the president of the Liberal Party to begin that process. This country deserves a real choice in the next election, and it has become clear to me that if I’m having to fight internal battles; I cannot be the best option in that election.”

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland announced her resignation on December16, explaining that she was no longer in agreement with Trudeau on fiscal policy. Shortly thereafter, the prime minister’s governing coalition suffered a major blow when New Democratic Party leader revealed that he planned to present a motion of no confidence in the incumbent. 

Trudeau narrowly survived a no-confidence vote in the Canadian parliament in September. A federal election is expected to be held in October 2025.

The Associated Press reports that Joe Biden’s State Department has informed Congress of a planned $8 billion weapons sale to Israel, as the American ally presses forward with its war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Some of the arms in the package could be sent through current U.S. stocks but the majority would take a year or several years to deliver, according to two U.S. officials who spoke anonymously with the Associated Press.

The sale includes medium-range air-to-air missiles to help Israel defend against airborne threats, 155mm artillery shells for long-range targeting, Hellfire missiles, 500-pound bombs and more.

The weapons package would add to a record of at least $17.9 billion in military aid that the U.S. has provided Israel since Hamas terrorist attacks triggered the war on October 7, 2023.

The Biden administration has faced criticism from its base over mounting deaths of Palestinian civilians. There have been demonstrations on college campuses and unsuccessful efforts in Congress by Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and some Democrats to block sales of offensive weapons to Israel.

The United States paused a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel in May over concerns about civilian casualties if the bombs were to be used during an assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah. The Biden administration has demanded that Israel increase humanitarian aid into the enclave. But in November, citing some limited progress, it declined to limit arms transfers as it threatened to do if the situation did not improve.

In recent days, Israel has been conducting new airstrikes in Gaza.

The Israeli army said Friday it had struck dozens of Hamas gathering points and command centers throughout Gaza. Israel’s military says it only targets militants and blames Hamas for civilian deaths because its fighters operate in dense residential areas.

The war has caused widespread destruction and displaced about 90% of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million, many of them multiple times. Winter has now arrived, and hundreds of thousands are sheltering in tents near the sea.

Joe Biden has banned all future offshore oil and gas drilling in a last-ditch effort to stop Donald Trump from keeping his promise to expand offshoring drilling.

The Daily Mail reported the story, describing it as “a blatant move to try and sabotage the incoming Trump administration as the MAGA die hard has pledged to reverse Biden's climate change policies when he takes office in 14 days.”

Trump campaigned on a slogan of drill baby drill and has pledged to throw out all of Biden's green energy policies on Day One. 

In an effort to get ahead of Trump, Biden declared he is using his authority under the 70-year-old Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to block all future oil and natural gas leasing in most U.S. coastal waters.

The ban would stop offshoring drilling in all federal waters off the East and West coasts, the eastern Gulf of Mexico and portions of the northern Bering Sea in Alaska.

Biden's order will not affect large swaths of the Gulf of Mexico, where most U.S. offshore drilling occurs, but it would protect coastlines along California, Florida and other states from future drilling.

The action could be difficult for Trump to unwind, since it will likely require an act of Congress to repeal, according to the Daily Mail.

Trump's spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt mocked Biden's move writing on X: “Joe Biden clearly wants high gas prices to be his legacy.”

She went on to slam the “disgraceful decision designed to exact political revenge on the American people who gave President Trump a mandate to increase drilling and lower gas prices.”

Federal prosecutors want to charge as many as 200 more people for their involvement in the January 6 “riot”, including 60 suspected of assaulting or impeding police officers, according to an article by Politico.

The left-leaning news outlet fails to mention that many of those suspected of “assaulting” police were in reality protecting themselves from over-aggressive police swinging bully clubs and tossing tear-gas cannisters at them.

The new figures, released by the Justice Department Monday, reveal for the first time how many cases prosecutors believe are pending as Trump prepares to take office and threatens to unravel the massive four-year probe. 

About 1,583 people have faced federal charges for their role in the event — including more than 600 facing felony charges for assaulting or resisting police during the chaos, Politico reports.

Though the Justice Department has released monthly statistics on the January 6 probe, the largest federal prosecution in its history, Monday’s figures are the first time prosecutors have estimated how many uncharged cases remain. Trump has repeatedly said he plans to pardon many people involved in the chaos, or in many cases, were caught up in the chaos of that day and did nothing wrong, yet find themselves behind bars. 

You also won’t find the words Ashley Babbitt anywhere in Politico’s article. As an unarmed woman shot dead by police, she doesn’t fit the propaganda narrative that they’ve been subjecting us to for four years.

President-elect Donald Trump has filed a motion to delay his sentencing in the ongoing New York v. Trump case, seeking to block the scheduled hearing on January 10. The move comes as Trump’s legal team challenges the upcoming ruling, citing constitutional grounds and legal precedents.

Trump’s spokesman and incoming White House communications director, Steven Cheung, issued a statement Monday, calling for an immediate halt to what he referred to as a Witch Hunt orchestrated by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Cheung told Fox Digital:

“Today, President Trump’s legal team moved to stop the unlawful sentencing in the Manhattan D.A.’s Witch Hunt. The Supreme Court’s historic decision on Immunity, the state constitution of New York, and other established legal precedent mandate that this meritless hoax be immediately dismissed.”

Trump’s legal team informed Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan in a motion filed Monday that they plan to appeal his decision to reject their request for case dismissal. The legal team is seeking dismissal based on a 2024 Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, which Trump asserts protects him from prosecution for actions tied to his official duties.

His attorneys wrote to Merchan:

“The Court should vacate the sentencing hearing scheduled for January 10, 2025, and suspend all further deadlines in the case until President Trump’s immunity appeals are fully and finally resolved.”

ISIS terrorists have infiltrated the U.S. and are plotting attacks on Americans, according to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner.

Turner was appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday when he stated that the FBI and other intelligence agencies know for certain that ISIS and other terrorist groups are operating on U.S. soil.

He said that individuals associated with these groups had crossed the southern border.

“We are working diligently to try to take them down to prevent them from [harming Americans]. That’s why the director is publicly saying such. That’s what the new administration is going to be handed, the fact that these individuals are here, that we need to locate them, we need to remove them, we need to bring them to justice, and prevent them from doing harm to Americans.”

It’s easy for Congressman Turner to play the role of the concerned leader now that Biden is on the way out and Trump is coming in.

To act surprised or concerned now after four years of an open border is… I’m sorry, but it’s disingenuous. Turner has been sitting there as chairman of this House committee for two years. He’s done absolutely nothing to top Biden’s policies, but now he wants to act like the big statesman who’s riding in on a white horse to warn us of an encroaching danger. 

Is it just me or does something smell bad about this?

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

The White House announced over the weekend that as one of his final official acts, Joe Biden awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, to 19 people, some of whom are arguably the worst people on Earth, including billionaire hedge-fund activist George Soros and Hillary Clinton.

Soros, 94, has been one of the most prolific fundraisers for the Democratic Party in history. The Hungarian-born billionaire gave more than $175 million to Democrats during the 2022 midterms, according to Federal Election Commission records, proving it’s possible to buy the prestigious medal placed around his neck by Biden.

Clinton, as Secretary of State, oversaw one of the most humiliating and bloody attacks ever recorded at a U.S. Embassy, as Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans needlessly died on September 11, 2012. When Senator Ron Johnson pressed Mrs. Clinton on the causes of the attack, she gave the ambivalent response “What difference does it make?”

A White House press release states that the top honor is given “to individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors.”

“These nineteen individuals are great leaders who have made America and the world a better place,” the White House statement claims. “They are great leaders because they are good people who have made extraordinary contributions to their country and the world.”

The announcement was met with outrage in conservative online echo chambers.

While the Biden White House contends that Soros and Clinton have made “the world a better place,” others know that just the opposite is true.

Make no mistake. This was another Biden provocation. It’s not about awarding or honoring these individuals, it’s about gaslighting the right into condemning them, and then the left condemns the right. More of that familiar divisive gamesmanship from Joe Biden and his handlers. This is the president who famously stood before a blood-red backdrop on September 2, 2022, while flanked by U.S. Marines, and condemned millions of Americans who voted for his opponent. He called them a dangerous threat to our democracy. 

Good riddance Joe Biden. Nobody will shed a tear when you finally ride off into oblivion. You’ve been in a state of oblivion for four years. You’ve allowed unidentified, unelected handlers to hijack your authority as president, and now you’re done. You were a one and done president, and rightfully so. America could not have survived another four years of your administration.
