I read a headline recently that was more than disturbing. It said: "UK Doctor Claims State Hospitals 'Killing' Elderly Patients to Free Up Beds." If you have studied history, you will know that Hitler declared the Jews to be "non-human" and removed their legal rights as persons, giving him license to legally exterminate six million men, women, and children "for the benefit of society." America has followed suit and dehumanized the baby in the womb by calling it a "blob of tissue." The Supreme Court declared the unborn is not a "person" and has no legal rights, giving license for America to legally kill more than 54 million human beings-nearly ten times the amount killed by the Nazis.
Hitler's dehumanization propaganda was only temporary. When he reached a position of supreme power and his killing-machine was perfectly legal, he dropped the facade and killed off anyone he considered to be "useless eaters." America's killing-machine has been perfectly legal for decades, so there's no need for any more veiled propaganda. Of course, it's not just about freedom of choice. It's also about lining pockets with the billions of dollars that flow into the abortion industry. It's about a baby in the womb, and the mantra is, "I don't want it, so I will legally kill it."
Society has become callous and is now ready for gender-based killing as well as the killing of those other "useless eaters": the elderly who can't "benefit society" and have become a drain on the economy. The root of Hitler's problem was his idolatry. He made up a god in his own mind that had no moral dictates, leaving him free to carry out his own evil agenda. That's also the root of America's problem, from the White House to those who advocate the killing of unborn babies and "useless eaters."

The Sinner's Conscience
Human understanding is "darkened" (Eph. 4:18), but the conscience is the area where God has given light to every man. The word "con-science" means "with knowledge." The conscience is the headline warning of sin; the Scriptures give the fine print. None of us can say that we don't know it's wrong to lie, steal, murder, or commit adultery; that knowledge is written in large print on our heart. However, in the Scriptures we see the true nature of sin: that God requires truth even in the inward parts (see Psalm 51:6). The fine print reveals that lust is adultery of the heart, hatred is murder of the heart, fibs are bearing false witness, etc.
