Big Tech fundraising platform GoFundMe has suspended access to millions of dollars raised to support Canadian truckers who are protesting against vaccine mandates, the Gateway Pundit reports.

The platform, of course, did not block fundraisers related to the Black Lives Matter riots in 2020.

Organizers raised approximately 5 million Canadian dollars to support the trucker’s efforts, which is roughly $4 million US dollars.

At last count, about 100,000 trucks were participating in the “Freedom Convoy 2022,” which is heading to Ottawa to protest a vaccine mandate that requires drivers to be vaccinated or face a 14-day quarantine after arriving from the US.

GoFundMe claims the funds “will be safely held” until the Freedom Convoy provides the documents “about how funds will be properly distributed.”

“We require that fundraisers be transparent about the flow of funds and have a clear plan for how those funds will be spent. In this case, we are in touch with the organizer to verify that information,” the platform’s spokeswoman, Rachel Hollis, told CTV News.

GoFundMe applied no such scrutiny to Black Lives Matter.

The Freedom Convoy fundraiser clearly stated that the money would be used to help the drivers cover “the costs of fuel first, and hopefully food and lodgings” to “ease the pressures” of their “arduous task.”

Tamara Lich, the organizer of the GoFundMe, took to Facebook to tell supporters not to worry.

“I am working with GoFundMe, trust me, we got this covered,” she said.

Not only is GoFundMe doing its best to throw a roadblock in the way of the Freedom Convoy, but the patriotic truckers are getting no love from the mainstream corporate-owned media either.

Take a look at the huge crowds greeting the truckers as they arrived in Toronto Thursday, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation did its best to downplay the size of the turnout.

As those tens of thousands of truckers descend on the Canadian capital of Ottawa to protest Canada’s tyrannical so-called COVID-19 passports, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mysteriously went into “isolation” after being exposed, he said, to “COVID.” 

“Last night, I learned that I have been exposed to COVID-19. My rapid test result was negative. I am following @OttawaHealth rules and isolating for five days. I feel fine and will be working from home. Stay safe, everyone – and please get vaccinated,” the Prime Minister and ex-drama teacher posted to Twitter Thursday morning.

That drew some chiding and mocking remarks from Canadians on the social media platform.

“I think what he means is he’s scared of the truckers and has gone into hiding,” commented ethics professor Dr. Julie Ponesse.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has moved his most elite paratroopers to the Ukrainian border in Belarus in yet another troop deployment amid rising tensions with NATO powers.

So far neither side has moved to de-escalate the crisis.

The U.S. is now sending 300 lethal Javelin anti-tank weapons to the Ukraine, the latest part of a $200 million military aid package, and warns Russia is planning to go into Ukraine by mid-February.

Video footage has emerged appearing to show Russian paratroopers and equipment headed for the border.

Russian tanks, trucks, military equipment and unit carriages were spotted loaded on a southwest bound train.

Javelins are infrared guided missiles, designed to fly high into the air before slamming down on their targets, making them especially deadly against tanks because armor is thinnest on the top.

Also arriving soon in Ukraine will be American Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and British-made NLAW anti-tank weapons.

The Washington Times has a new article out that cites military experts who say China is watching closely as the U.S. responds to the escalating tensions surrounding the Ukraine. 

For weeks, President Biden has mobilized the full force of his administration and rallied allies in a bid to cool tensions spurred by Russia’s buildup of more than 100,000 troops on its border with Ukraine. But with Russia still refusing to rule out military action against Ukraine, some in Washington are raising fears that a weak U.S. and Western response could embolden the Chinese Communist Party and accelerate the long-simmering standoff over Taiwan. 

Rep. Michael T. McCaul of Texas, the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a known neoconservative war hawk, told the Times that he fears China has already become emboldened by the events in Ukraine. He expressed growing concern that China could make a move for Taiwan soon after the Winter Olympics conclude in Beijing next month. 

“There is a real danger in that,” said Brent Sadler, a naval warfare and advanced technology senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation. “It really depends on how the U.S. government and the Biden administration respond in Ukraine.” 

The chaotic Biden administration's botched U.S. pullout from Afghanistan last summer doesn't help matters.

John E. Herbst, a former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine who now serves as senior director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, told the Times, “You don’t need to be a genius to understand this.”

“If you know well the pre-World War II history, you know that the inability of the international community to deal, for example, with the Italian invasion and takeover of Ethiopia, with the Japanese taking over of Manchuria, both in the early and mid-1930s, sent messages to Hitler about things he could get away with,” Herbst said. “And, of course, he got away with a whole lot before war broke out.”

Joe Biden promised to provide 1 billion free Covid testing kits, a promise that seemed impossible to keep.

So where does he turn in order to get those tests?

China.

Biden’s "free" rapid COVID tests are set to be a boon for his Chinese buddies.  iHealth Labs, a unit of the Chinese company Andon Health Co. Ltd. inked a $1.3 billion deal to provide COVID tests for Biden’s free at-home program. That test was among several that received authorization from the FDA last month.

Citizens Free Press documented a number of people taking tests who showed the test they were delivered came from China.

After news broke last spring that the University of Pittsburgh is using aborted babies for taxpayer-funded medical research, often in barbaric experiments, Pitt asked an independent firm to conduct an investigation into their researchers’ compliance with state and federal laws.

The Federalist reports that the findings of that investigation were released last week, but the report arguably raises more questions than it answers.

Hyman, Phelps and McNamara (HPM), the D.C.-based law firm hired to conduct the “regulatory assessment,” said they found Pitt’s academic research with human fetal tissue to be “fully compliant with applicable laws.” But a close reading of the 40-page report shows that HPM intentionally limited the scope of their investigation, allowing investigators to turn a blind eye to some of the most damning allegations related to fetal tissue research.

Using grant money from Dr. Anthony Fauci at NIAID, university professors were conducting research on humanized mice in which they attached the scalps of aborted babies to rodents.

In one of the biggest oversights, HPM admits in its assessment they did not investigate the two university clinics where university researchers source their aborted fetal tissue: the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Magee-Women's Hospital of UPMC, where more abortions are performed than in any other hospital in the state.

HPM reasoned they could only investigate activities for which Pitt has regulatory control, and that excludes University of Pittsburgh Medical Center because it is a private nonprofit that the university “has no role in managing or supervising.” This is a significant omission because some of the most atrocious allegations, including labor-induced, partial-birth abortions, occur at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Investigators instead focused on fetal tissue that is collected and distributed by the Pitt Biospecimen Core. What investigators failed to mention is that these laboratories are located inside University of Pittsburgh Medical Center hospitals, including one in the Magee-Women's Hospital.

In the limited investigating they did of the university medical center, HPM found issues with incomplete forms used for obtaining consent from pregnant women to use their babies’ organs for research. Those forms were included in the report and tell us a lot about how consent is obtained.

HPM’s report said they did “consider” whether there were any conflicts of interest between Pitt and Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, and found there were no “illegal arrangements,” but did not provide any details on who they spoke to or how they arrived at that conclusion. Yet they felt the need to explain that if Pitt did have contracts with Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, such an arrangement would not be “inherently unlawful.”

“There is no law preventing Pitt from supporting Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania if it chooses to do so,” HPM investigators wrote.

There may be no law, but conflicts of interests between Pitt and PPFA do run amok. Not only do Pitt faculty moonlight as abortionists at a PPFA abortion clinic located just six minutes away from Magee-Women's Hospital, but in 2014, Center for Medical Progress’s David Daleiden recorded videos of Planned Parenthood associates admitting, “there is a tissue bank at Pitt that we offer patients to donate to.”

Peter Schweizer's new book, Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win, continues to reveal a stunning level of corruption among America's entrenched political class.

Schweizer tells the story of how Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein’s husband Richard Blum was part owner of a Chinese firm that allegedly sold computers with spyware chips to the U.S. military. The book documents how Feinstein has made herself a useful stooge for Beijing — so useful that she actually tried to excuse the Tiananmen Square massacre by suggesting China only called in combat troops to murder thousands of demonstrators because it ran out of cops.

One of the many deals Blum landed as a result of his wife's position saw him become a major investor in a computer company that was founded by researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an institution tied to both the Chinese government and the People's Liberation Army. The company was originally called Legend, but is better known by its second name, Lenovo.

Lenovo grew into a major player in the worldwide computer marketplace after it acquired IBM’s line of personal computer products in 2005. Lenovo’s deal to buy IBM’s business included $350 million in investments from three American private equity firms. One of them was Richard Blum’s Newbridge Capital.

Breitbart reports that some lawmakers worried Lenovo’s purchase of IBM’s personal computer line could jeopardize U.S. national security and transfer advanced American computer technology to China. Senator Dianne Feinstein, who sat on the Senate Intelligence Committee at the time, was not one of them.

George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley has warned Joe Biden that using identity politics to choose a Supreme Court justice is patently “unconstitutional.”

Slay News reports that Biden revealed that the deciding factors for his Supreme Court pick is that the nominee is black and female.

But using race and gender as a pre-condition has already been ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court itself in previous cases.

Turley wrote: “In his debate with Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden made two pledges to voters and asked his opponent to do the same to nominate only a black woman for the next open Supreme Court seat and to choose a woman as his vice president.

“Even with identity politics, the pledge to impose a gender and race requirement for the next Supreme Court nominee is as ironic as it is troubling.

“What Biden was declaring, and what Sanders wisely avoided, would effectively constitute discrimination in admission to the Supreme Court.

“Indeed, the Supreme Court has declared that such race or gender conditions are strictly unconstitutional for admission to public colleges.

“The pledges that Biden has made amount to this."

Turley goes on to say that, “No matter how qualified men or, in the case of the Supreme Court, women who are not black may be, he will not consider them as candidates. In the case of vice president, such gender discrimination would be allowed, as presidential candidates can select a running mate on any grounds and voters can decide if they approve.

“Justices, however, are lifetime appointees, and presidents have always been careful to state that, while they seek diversity among their nominees, they would appoint the most qualified person regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

“But in a single declaration, Biden quickly dispensed with even the pretense of equal consideration."
