Brannon Howse: Well, let's go to our first guest. One Menendez one has been down on the border in Mexico. And I understand Juan has a lot of great footage for us tonight. Juan, welcome back to the broadcast. Thank you for joining us.

Juan Mendoza: Thank you very much for having me.

Brannon Howse: I am not hearing Juan through my earpiece, guys. So if you want to pump him through there, that'd be great. One, I can. You just keep going. It's on our end, not your end. One tells us what you've been doing down there at the border. Liz tells me you've got a lot of great B-roll footage, and we've got a real problem with the cartels and the drugging of children. Can you tell us what's going on, Juan?

Juan Mendoza: Yeah, of course. So ever since the Biden administration took office in January of 2021, we've been seeing a huge increase of, uh, illegal immigrants coming into the United States, which have been motivated by the open border policies of the Biden administration and people such as Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, And a lot of people are seeing the impacts of the illegal immigration that's being fueled by the current administration. Now, one of the things that are being seen with that is the impact with a lot of these migrants that are trying to come here illegally as they see that they suffer huge consequences, huge negative consequences for going to the cartel to smuggle them. Now we're seeing that around 70 to 80% of women that make their journey to the US illegally are raped during their journey. And we'll see as well that with many instances with children that I've seen, many instances of children that arrive into South Texas or the border that have been drugged to the point that they've looked like they were dead. So the open border policies of the Biden administration have been causing a humanitarian crisis here that has been impacting not just the people here, the US citizens and legal residents in the United States, but also these illegal immigrants that are crossing illegally into the country.

Brannon Howse: This B-roll footage we want to give credit to? Who took that number one? And what were we just seeing there?

Juan Mendoza: So the B-roll footage of that drug kid was when I was down there in Roma, Texas. This was around the beginning of the border crisis in late 2021. But we're still seeing this Border Patrol still seize cases of kids like this all the time, where essentially the cartel was drugging them so that they would not make any noise when they were crossing them over illegally into the United States. Now, as I said, a lot of kids end up becoming victims of child trafficking and sex trafficking. I've seen instances as well with children that have phone numbers attached to them that they claim to be from their sponsors, family sponsors. But upon examination of those phone numbers, it's not a family at all or they're not answering the phone call. So what happens a lot is that a lot of these sponsors are cartels that are still smuggling the children in and using them for manual labor or forced prostitution to pay off their debts for crossing over illegally.

Brannon Howse: Wow. Now, the Border Patrol chief, what's his name? Raul Ortiz. Ortiz. He announced that he was retiring on June 30th. What does this mean?

Juan Mendoza: So he recently announced yesterday that after multiple decades in service, he announced that after June 30th, he will no longer be Border Patrol chief. Now, most Border Patrol agents I've talked to have been applauding that he's been retiring. And they see him as someone complicit in the open border fiasco that's been happening under the border, under the Biden administration, and here in the Laredo sector. A video came out last year that leaked showing Border Patrol agents arguing with Chief Ortiz as they were suffering from all the consequences of the open border policies that they're unable to deport illegal aliens back to their countries of origin. A lot of people have been feeling like they've essentially the Uber drivers when these migrants arrived illegally to the US essentially that they're being transported by Border Patrol and the National Guard to be transported into the country to their final destinations.

Brannon Howse: Wow. So tell me about the fentanyl. What's the fentanyl crisis like down there?

Juan Mendoza: So another thing that we've been seeing, as well as a consequence just with these open border policies, is not just illegal immigration, but also we've been seeing an increase in drug trafficking. And part of this comes because of the fentanyl crisis, as we're seeing China shipping a lot of these ingredients for cartels in Mexico to develop into fentanyl and then smuggle it across the US. Just here in Laredo alone this year, we've been seeing record high levels of drug overdoses, of deaths from drug overdoses. With just since January, we've had 36 drug overdose deaths, which is about to surpass last year's record high of 40 deaths from drug overdoses. And we're not just seeing the drug overdose crisis here in Laredo. We're seeing it nationwide to the point to the point where opioid overdose is becoming the number one reason for death for people ages 18 to 45 in this country.

Brannon Howse: Wow. Is there anything going on related to the goods that come into our country through some of these sectors? In other words, is any of this confusion disrupting any of the flow of the goods and services that need to come into the US with our vulnerable just-in-time inventory already?

Juan Mendoza: Well, right now, we're seeing especially in areas here in south Texas, especially Laredo, being the number one inland point of entry. States like Nuevo Leon and Mexico, they're expanding their economy and we're seeing an increased amount of commerce going in. Now, cartels use that to their advantage because they see that more products are being shipped into the US. Over 40% of all US commerce goes through Laredo. So we're seeing cartels adapt to that and use these trade routes to smuggle drugs. So with that, we and the open border policies mean we do see the consequence of the increased drug trafficking and not just in sites like little mean. Drug trafficking is nationwide. We will see areas like the Yuma sector suffer from drug trafficking as well. San Diego also was seeing a lot of drug trafficking from Tijuana.

Brannon Howse: Now, I don't know if the guys in the control room can grab that tweet. There's a tweet. There's an in the email of things that we want to play tonight. There's a link to a tweet by Juan. And I have seen this tweet before, Juan. I just did not know that this was you. So, guys, if you can find that tweet of him, it says, I confronted Bill Clinton at the rally he held with Representative Cuellar in Laredo about his alleged connections to child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Quote, I think the answer is clear in the quote. Um, so there it is. I remember seeing this a week or two ago when it came out like, oh, this was an 11, 11, 722 So I don't know how I've seen it just recently. Just recently I've seen this. I don't know how. I don't know how because I've not seen it before until just recently, but somehow I just saw it. But that's interesting because I was reading my notes for tonight. And this is you tell me about this encounter and well, let's play it first. Maybe go ahead and play it, guys. Can you play it for us?

Any comment on the allegation of your connection with Jeffrey Epstein? Any comments?

Video: He said he was.

Brannon Howse: Did he say? I think the answer is clear. That's a quote by him, right? Juan?

Juan Mendoza: Yeah. So asked them if any comments on the alleged connections that he had with Jeffrey Epstein based on the whole arrest that happened and the suicide in that case. And he was telling me, I think the evidence is in which a lot of people were being like, well, there is evidence of the connections that he had with the sex trafficker. That was why that was a huge issue that was going on back in, I believe, 2017 with that whole case coming out. But yeah, this happened during the midterms here in South Texas where he came down to show support for Congressman Henry Cuellar here. But a lot of people were also showing they were also wondering why he came down here, especially with that controversy. So figured going down there and asking him any comments on that controversy and it ended up becoming you're a brave man.

Brannon Howse: Were there any? Yeah, you're a brave man. Any repercussions? Have you been audited or have any other repercussions for asking that question?

Juan Mendoza: Well, thankfully, no, I mean, there was that was getting a lot of, uh, Twitter comments being like, don't get, don't get Epstein You know, but thankfully, as I said, the good thing in this country is that we have freedom of the press. So, um. I was able to be able to. Were you shocked? My job at.

Brannon Howse: How? Were you? Were you shocked at how accessible he was? Because I noticed when you started to ask your question, he didn't know who you were. I'm sure he leaned in. He leaned in to be able to hear over the crowd. Your question? He was very attentive. He was being very respectful. I have to commend him for taking the time to listen to a reporter such as yourself and have a question asked. And then I was shocked, to be honest, how jovial he was, his smile. He didn't attack you. I guess he's all know he's Teflon, Bill. He's a cool customer. What did you think about his persona, having been right there in front of him and watching his body language and making eye contact? What did you come away thinking after that?

Juan Mendoza: Well. I was just in shock at first that I was able to be asking him. I mean, during that rally, I mean, he was shaking people's hands as well as people that supported him. But the interaction, the aftermath was just like I said, it was just a shock. Um.

Brannon Howse: What do you think about terrorists? Are you seeing any indication of terrorists? We're getting reports from some folks about a 1,000% increase in Chinese nationals, military-age males coming over the border. A lot of people coming, according to reports by others, including Todd Bensman here, of folks coming from Muslim nations. What are your concerns, particularly when you have our FBI military practicing for a week in Houston, about two weeks ago for a week-long exercise on a terrorist attack, a nuclear bombing on American City? What do you make of the threat of the terrorists pouring over our border, be it the CCP or be it or be it? Islamic nations.

Juan Mendoza: Well, there is a huge concern. I believe there's been an all-time high of reports of people that have been on the terrorist watch list crossing illegally into the United States border. I mean, it's a big concern what happens with these mass migrations that are going on, the number of people that they're receiving, CBP and Ice, and they're not able to fully vet everyone just they're overwhelmed and they don't have the resources. And it's hard to vet all these people that are coming in. And that's a huge concern because that's a risk for national security reasons.

Brannon Howse: Indeed it is. All right, Juan, where can people follow your work? I guess obviously on Twitter. Where else?

Juan Mendoza: So they can find me on Twitter for more news on Instagram as well. Same name, one more piece of news. And I also do local reporting here in South Texas and the border in Spanish called Noticias de la Frontera Net. They can follow up my reporting there as well, where I cover stuff based here and in the border in the southern border.

Brannon Howse: Excellent. Excellent. Well, you're welcome back. Any time. Great reporting. Glad to see a new young generation there in the field reporting. And you're welcome back here anytime. But it's not only the conference itself, folks, but we have a foundation luncheon on Saturday. And you can also join us for the optional Ozark concert banquet on Thursday night that's sold out the last few years. You're like, what is that all about? Well, all you got to do, folks, is click it, click it, and you can sample. And you can go here and you can listen to some of the music if you want to get a sample of what I do because I do a full concert and we film it into a television special. And that's, of course, you guys remember the Christmas concert we did last year, right? That ended up being what we did. And this, of course, is that he shows him selection. I do, with a live piano player in the room, and I tell the story behind him and then sing it. You guys can try it out at WDW. Tv.com. This is actual footage from the October 2022 concert Lake of the Ozarks. This was the one that was the Christmas concert I did. So this is the full Christmas concert. The luncheon on Saturday is optional and then the conference itself on Saturday, Friday night, starts Saturday, and then Sunday morning worship. Then, of course, we have emergency freeze-dried food. We also have added in last night we added in Sprout, Sprout tray. This is my wife's idea. You like growing sprouts and we got different kinds of sprouts you can buy. So there's a food crisis. You can also grow your own. We also, of course, have. These are very popular. If I go here, right there, the very popular seed vaults. Those are out of stock for three years. They're back in stock, 20 varieties of seed. They're heirloom seeds, meaning for those who don't know, you plant them and pull the vegetables out of the ground. You can pull the seeds out of the vegetables, save them and replant them to continually have a garden year after year. So that's available. That's normally like $100. Most retail outlets sell for 100 bucks. We're making them available for, I think what was it? Let's go back here.

Brannon Howse: The wrong button. We're making it available for like 39. Let's go under emergency supplies. And that's where it's at. Emergency food, No emergency supplies. There it is. There we go. We're making it available for 3995. A lot of outlets are selling it for 100 bucks. We got it for 39.95. We have the EMT bags. We had 75 of those come in. You might get red, you might get blue. I think most of you at this point are going to get red. That's, I think, all 75 that came in last week. Emt, medical trauma kit, sutures, all kinds of stuff in case there's an emergency. Maybe you don't know how to use all this. Ask your friend who's your neighbor, who's a doctor or nurse or nurse practitioner. The important thing is to have it on hand and then you can find hopefully, someone to help you, as I can do in my neighborhood. Several doctors in my neighborhood, several across the street, just might not have the sutures and everything else we need. But if I have them on hand, there you go. That has been a very popular item. Of course, our water purification systems and everything else. Check out all those supplies. WVWTVStore.com. I know they shipped out over 100 boxes yesterday, so. Or excuse me, 200, 200 yesterday. So they're doing a good job. WVWTVStore.com. Or you can call Libby at 901 46893579 and 14689357.
