Prophecy Today: August 16, 2016

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung and Winkie Medad remember the Jewish holy-day of Tish B'Av, the ninth day of the Jewish month of Av. This is the day on the Jewish calendar when both the 1st Temple and the 2nd Temple were destroyed, many years apart. It was in 586 BC when the first Temple was destroyed, by the King of the Babylonian Empire. It was also the same date as the destruction of the second temple, at the hands of General Titus and the Roman Army. Today the Jews gather at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to do that same ritual they have done many, many times before. The Jews gather at the same time each year to weep, read the Bible, the book of Lamentation and pray for the Temple to be re-built "by next year at Tish B'Av".
