Crosstalk: September 16, 2015

On September 11th, the California legislature(run by Democrats)passed a resolution commending the victims of the holocaust and marked the sacrifice of those who died in 9-11. At the same time (while it was suicide prevention week) they also stood up for doctor assisted suicide. The previous bill, which was thought to be dead, had come back to life in a different bill number and the Democrats pushed it through via a special legislative session that was supposed to deal with Medi-Cal funding. As Randy explained, this bill is very dangerous because it doesn't ensure individual choice and control as its proponents claim. This means that the elderly, the weak, the vulnerable and even young people could be steered by the state and insurers toward suicide as well as by family members who don't love them.
