ECUMENISM VS. THE GOSPEL

Chris discusses the modern ecumenical movement and its roots in Vatican Council II.  In particular, the teachings of the Jesuit Karl Rahner seem to have had the greatest impact on the theological world, one that

continues to this day.  Rahner's theory of the "anonymous Christian" opened the professing Christian world to the possibility that those who profess another belief system (and even atheists) might somehow be saved, if they

strive to do good deeds according to their own conscience.  Yet the Scriptures make it clear that there is no salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ.
