The latest trend: evangelical leaders seeking peaceful common ground w/ Islam. LOL was my knee-jerk reaction when first hearing of this. But it's not funny at all. The sad reality is it's actually happening. So one may rightly ask? "Who pulled the burka over their eyes?"

Can you imagine Elijah seeking warm hugs w/ the prophets of Baal or the prophets of Asherah? (1 Kings 18:19-40) Or Jeremiah finding religious civility w/ the idolatrous adherents of Molech? (Jer 32:35) Or even the Lord Jesus seeking sweet congenial dialogue & acceptance w/ the scribes & Pharisees? (Mt 23). I guess John the Baptist didn't get the memo when "he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.” (Mt ‭3:7-8‬) Or how unloving of the Apostle Paul when addressing Elymas the magician said"“and said, "You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time." Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.” (Acts‬ ‭13:10-11‬). Didn't any of them realize if we do anything to offend maybe they won't like us, and if they don't like us they won't talk with us, and if they won't talk to us then evangelism to them is dead (sarcasm intentional). Ha! Utter craziness and biblical insanity.

But that's precisely what's happening w/ some evangelicals in today's age of tolerance and soft embraces w/ Islamists. And look, it shouldn't come as any surprise that leaders of Islam would welcome dialogue, conversation, warm fuzzy interaction with evangelical leaders because it gives them a chance to expand and promote their ungodly beliefs to Christians and to our churches.

Listen... Islam knows no peace w/ infidels. The Qur'an never teaches peace w/ those who reject the satanically inspired faith of Islam. It is a religion built on unholy submission to the idol of Allah, violence to others, torture to resisters & death to anyone calling Allah & its pedophile prophet Mohammed - false! IOW, to Christians! Politically? Sharia Law is evil and opposes Constitutional freedom in America at its very core.

So... to evangelical leaders wanting to be Dr Phil and Oprah to Islam you need to reconsider. In fact, you need to repent! You have zero biblical footing for such cultural sentimentality to make it your "ministry" to get along and have fellowship with those who blaspheme the Lord Jesus Christ at every turn (2 Cor 6:14-17).

Man up; wake up; grow up; and gospel up! Share Christ and His gospel w/ Muslims? Yes! Love your Muslim neighbors? Yes! But don't be deceived if you think you can play "We Are The World" in the background while sipping your favorite Starbucks coffee as you sit and intellectually/emotionally have a cushy little conversation w/ Muslims about Islam and then think you're making real friends and establishing real relationship.

And by the way, you're not sharing the gospel.... you're getting played!
