Why is There So Much Chaos Seemingly in Our Nation and All Over The World?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:1-5)

I. Chaos

There are many people wondering and expressing the question, why is there so much chaos seemingly in our nation and all over the world? The verses of God's word set out hereinabove tell us the answer. The Lord Jesus Christ is God the Son. The Lord Jesus Christ is the second person of God's holy Trinity. He made all things and without him was not anything made that was made. The 5th verse tells us that he is the light of the world.  “The light shined in darkness and darkness comprehended it not" This nation and the entire world is in increasing darkness!

What does the term darkness mean biblically? Actually, it really means ignorance. One may ask the question, ignorance of what? The answer, of course, is ignorance of God according to the scripture. In Romans chapter 3 in verse 11, we find "There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they have become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one.” And then in verse 18 we find, “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:11, 12, and 18) Scripture also says that the world, even the “princes of this world" are specifically ignorant of the Lord Jesus Christ. First, we see in these verses that the world was and is in darkness! The darkness did not comprehend, that is did not know the Lord Jesus Christ. Second, the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world and the world was made by him, and the world did not know him. Third, the Lord Jesus Christ came unto his own and his own did not know him, and, they did not receive him.

We are also told that position, power, and education do not help the ignorance. In

1 Corinthians chapter 2 verses 7 and 8, we see God's word instructing us that: “… we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of the princes (rulers) of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory" (1 Corinthians 2:7 and 8 KJV). Therefore, we can discern that darkness exists around the entire world, and, indeed, has existed since the fall of Adam.

Obviously, one of the major problems that is ongoing, even in evangelical churches today, is that many leaders and preachers do not now believe that Adam was a real person. They do not believe that God's word is historically true at this point in Genesis. However, that is just part of the problem of the darkness that is over the world and increasing seemingly daily, because scripture tells us- without equivocation- that Adam was indeed real. Adam was created as the first man, and Genesis 1 tells us that. Everyone who has ever been born, except the Lord Jesus Christ, was “in Adam at the time of the fall”. As a result of Adam's disobedience, Genesis chapter 3 tells us he disobeyed God and fell, and we are told by the word of God, that sin “invaded” the world and “death (the ultimate darkness) by sin; and, so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12). Men do not know the light of the world! Without light, obviously no one can see. Thus, scripture tells us this is the reason that there is chaos in this country and around the world. We see chaos on the United States southern border. We see chaos in the shipping of various goods and services in the United States. We see chaos in education, in wars, and rumors of wars. Because the world is dark, and the non-Christian cannot see and, moreover the darkness actually is in them not merely around them, so they cannot comprehend, and they don't even know that they are in darkness! The Lord Jesus Christ is the light of the world and He alone gives light to his people, and, indeed, is the only one who can give light. Consequently, he is the only one who can give comprehension and understanding. He alone can eliminate the chaos, thus without the Lord Jesus Christ, the result is darkness!

II. The Results of The Darkness

God's Word tells us the results of not knowing the light of the world. In Romans Chapter 1 verses 18 through 32, we find the following:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:18 through 32 KJV)

It is clear that in scripture only the Lord Jesus Christ can give us the light we need for he alone is the light of the world. He alone can solve the chaos!

God's word, instructs us from the 4th chapter of 2nd Corinthians that the apostle Paul says:

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the God of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (thus they are in darkness). For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-6 KJV)

Thus, we see clearly in scripture that it is God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness and caused it to shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Let there be no doubt. We all need the light that only the Lord God can give!

Finally, this battle involves the conflict that has existed from before the foundation of the world between Satan and the Lord our God. God's word gives us a graphic picture of this ongoing conflict from Isaiah chapter 14 where we find the nature of this conflict, beginning in verse 12, from before the foundation of the world, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou has said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, is this the man that made earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms” (Isaiah 14:12 – 16).

We also see in the New Testament this ongoing conflict in the 6th chapter of Paul's letter to the Church at Ephesus, where we find the following:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." (Ephesians 6:10 – 20)

Thus, we see, it is the god of this world who has blinded the minds of those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Lucifer, Son of the Morning, Satan, is the cause of the chaos and darkness. It is God alone who gives the light to the world, and it is the Lord Jesus Christ alone who is the light of the world! Thus, for all those who do not know and do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, there is darkness both around them and in them.

III.  God Has Provided a Way

Thus, we see, that men and women and those who are in darkness cannot, by the deeds of the law, walk in the light. “Therefore, by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin” (Romans 3:20). However, we are also told in God's Holy Word in the 3rd chapter of Romans: “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:21 – 23)

It is this darkness that permeates the entire world and into the hearts of men and women around the world. It is responsible for the chaos that is existing in the world today and in the United States in so many different areas. However, the really good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, has been declared that “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus”. (Romans 3: 24 – 26)

Motivated solely by his own love for his creatures, we read in John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:16 -17). Additionally, the Lord Jesus Christ chose Saul of Tarsus for a special purpose. Saul was on his way to kill as many Christians as he could, but the Lord Jesus Christ’s purpose was to first blind him and put him in darkness and reveal himself to Saul of Tarsus. Saul asked “Who art thou Lord? And He said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest”. (Acts 26:15)

The historical account is reported in the 26th chapter of Acts where the Lord Jesus Christ said, “But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me” (Acts 26:16 – 18).

Thus, the Lord Jesus Christ chose Saul of Tarsus, who became the great Apostle Paul, to open the eyes of those whose eyes had been blinded and to turn them from the darkness unto light; and to turn them from the power of Satan unto God that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Indeed, being a sinner, no matter how black the sin, does not keep one from being lifted out of the kingdom of darkness and placed into the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, in writing to his young protégé, Timothy, the apostle Paul says in God's Holy Word in 1 Timothy 1, in the 15th verse, “this is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to everlasting life" (1 Timothy 1:15- 16). God's word also tells us that it is God “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”. (Colossians 1:13)

Thus, the great good news is that God has provided the way for men to be moved out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of Light. Darkness is what is causing the chaos in this nation and around the world. Pray that God would deliver many from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light the- kingdom of his dear son! That the Lord God himself would make the light to shine out of darkness and into the hearts of those who are now in darkness to give them the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. You may know those who are in darkness and do not know the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for them and tell them the holy truth of God's Word and the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ which can deliver them from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light- the kingdom of his dear son.

Fuming, fretting, anger, and cursing or condemning, doesn't help! But prayer does! Pray for all those who are in darkness that God would open their hearts and translate them into the kingdom of light that they might know his holy truth. The Light of the World, the Lord Jesus Christ says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him, even those who are in darkness, might be saved. Resolve to be diligent and fervent in prayer for we need much prayer for God to turn the hearts of many to him in true repentance toward him and saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. “Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21)

In 2016, WVW-TV began to urge our radio and television audience to prepare for increasingly uncertain times such as:

  • disrupted “just in time” inventory supply chains
  • massive increase in inflation
  • biological warfare and terrorism
  • an EMP attack from China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea
  • A cyber attack on our critical infrastructure, including power-grid, water utilities and/or the banking industry

Then, 2020 happened with the biological attack on America by Communist China through Covid-19. Finding hamburger meat, a can of soup, pasta, a can of tuna, and other basics became shockingly challenging.

Those who had mocked our organization for calling on our audience to prepare with an emergency food supply were no longer laughing at us. In fact, some of them began to order emergency food from our store.

I have enjoyed Mountain House food on camping trips going back to when I was in high school. I purchased 6 months of food for 5 people in April of 2013 for my family. Three and a half years later, Worldview Weekend became a distributor for Mountain House because we personally know and testify to the quality of the food and understand the need for families to have "food insurance" in an increasingly dangerous world.

Please go to www.wvwtv.com/store
