The Iraqi government is dominated by Shiite Muslims, the same Islamic sect that rules Iran and many Iraqi Shiites have been Iranian trained and want to put in place an Islamic republic as the government with Shariah Law from the Koran as the law of the land.Some Iraqi rebel leaders want the violence to continue as a threat to the Iraqi people in order to control them.
