The Righteous are as bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1).

It’s time for more people to be bold and unflinching in the battle to defend the church from interfaith dialogue and ecumenicalism. The great threat to the church today is false teachers, false religions, and men who have risen from within to prey upon the sheep by bringing falsehoods into the church.

We are watching a great shift within so-called conservative evangelicalism. Conservative evangelicals once criticized mainline liberals for following the very path of pragmatism and compromise now being taken by these so-called conservatives. What was once rejected is now accepted. What was once seen as compromise of the gospel is now seen as advancing the gospel. Men who were once seen as pragmatists are seen as enlightened. Doctrines of demons are now doctrines on which to “dialogue.” Contending is now reduced to not offending.

Being unequally yoked is now acceptable in evangelicalism. What was once known to offend God is now acclaimed as offering up of service. What was once seen as inviting a servant of Satan among the flock is now seen as “interfaith dialogue.” What was once seen as dark and evil is now promoted as righteousness and light. What godly men and their uncompromising institutions once opposed is now applauded by compromised ministers and their ungodly profiteering. What was once “thus saith the Lord” is now “did God really mean that”?

The Hour of Dread

My friends, I have seen the shift coming, and I have warned about it years in advance through articles, books, DVDs, radio shows, and television programs. I knew it was coming when the religious right embraced New Age Mormon Glenn Beck in 2010 in a huge spiritual enterprise. Twelve months later, the religious right similarly embraced the Word of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation.

Many conservative Christians from Bible churches and reformed churches agreed the shift was not acceptable, condemned it and affirmed those lifting up a shout. However, the hour of dread has now come. I knew the time was fast approaching when self-described Christians from Bible churches and reformed churches would be deceived by what was once unthinkable. And not just a little deceived but deceived by something so black and white as to confound those lifting up a shout of warning as to how they cannot see what is so clearly forbidden in the Word of God, yet recognized by so few.

I can now say without a shadow of a doubt that the evangelical history my ministry has documented for future believers through the daily radio and weekly television programs will testify that a seismic shift occurred this month—in June of 2017. We are witnessing the great quake in evangelicalism right now. Church history that is being recorded and archived by my ministry in great detail—with purposeful determination and documentation to make sure no one misses what is happening—will show that during the week of June 5, 2017, the unthinkable finally came to pass.

Just shy of 16 years from the date when Islamic terrorists killed over 3,000 Americans on the fateful day of 9-11-01, numerous self-described conservative evangelical leaders and Christian men and women defended, deflected, or downplayed the revelation that one of their own invited an Islamic Jihadi imam to speak at a southern Bible church in the suburbs of Memphis, Tennessee.

In the very heart of the Bible belt, one of their own, James White—whose books they endorsed, whose conferences and churches at which he spoke, upon whose radio programs they appeared—unapologetically entered into a spiritual enterprise and interfaith dialogue to “discuss the agreements and differences that Muslims and Christians share.”

If some evangelical had done this with Benny Hinn, they would come unglued, but since it is one of their own and they are mostly ignorant as to the true face and teaching of Islam, so-called “conservative” Bible-loving evangelicals are defending James White.

Interfaith-dialoguing in a church with a radical, Jihadi Imam is blasphemy and a clear violation of Scripture. We are told:

  • Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. (2 John 9-11, NKJV)

  • Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14, NKJV)

  • And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11, NKJV)

What is shocking is that on social media there are “Bible pastors” and men who work with some of the biggest Bible teaching ministries in America that defend White for his move.

By contrast, some of them huddle in a private Facebook page to slander me, along with fellow warners-of-the-flock Usama Dakdok and Shahram Haddian. Some on social media have said that we don’t want to see Muslims saved. The WVW-TV ministry I founded pays for all the expenses so Usama and Shahram can have a television program to teach Christians how to refute Islam, guard the church from ecumenicalism and “Chrislam,” and yet also reach Muslims with the glorious gospel.

Shahram is a former Muslim with family members he has sought to reach with the gospel. Shahram and Usama Dakdok both take part in television programs and ministries that reach the Middle East in order to evangelize Muslims.

A Dangerous Stand

At Worldview Weekends, we have literally put our lives on the line producing these television programs in our Memphis studio. How can that be? Because of the presence of radical jihadis among us here in the United States. Did you know, for instance, that the imam who helped inspire the London bridge terrorist lives in Michigan, according to officials? Yes, some of the most radical and globally recognized Jihadi imams live right here in America even as we expose them.

For several years, I have called out a radical Jihadi imam who lives in my town. But I wonder how many of the evangelical cowards who slander us have called out the radical imams in their towns. Yet they say we don’t have a love for the Muslims. We not only love Muslims but also Jews and non-Christians, homosexuals and atheists. We love them by offering the truth of the gospel. The problem remains, though, that all Americans are at risk from the cultural and actual jihad of Islam sweeping America.

We have a love for young people we do not want to see converted to Islam. We want to protect the young women of America from being taken in by sweet-talking Muslim men who want to marry and use women here to have Muslim American babies in furtherance of cultural Jihad. We have a love for our countrymen. And most of all, we have a love of the church and the gospel, and we know that this requires us to expose the Satanic worldview, ideology, and agenda of Islam.

Recently while in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I was approached by a Muslim leader before our conference. I invited him into the building and introduced him to Shahram so we might attempt to reach him for Christ. We did not compromise with an interfaith dialogue. We simply answered his criticism with truth. We even permitted him to attend the evening meeting if he would agree not to interrupt the service. Why? Because we wanted him to hear the gospel. Yet, social media is filled with those who say that people like me, Usama, and Shahram do not love unsaved Muslims nor desire to reach them for Christ. And by the way, this Sioux Falls event is the same meeting in which a Muslim man showed up with 5 weapons and 1,200 rounds of ammunition and told us to “be afraid” and “be terrified” because we were preaching the gospel and exposing the lies of Islam. You can see the video of this here: http://www.worldviewweekend.com/tube/video/short-version-muslim-man-not-arrested-showing-3-pistols-two-assault-weapons-while-making

Untruths about the Truth

Never be shocked my friends when people make up stories to undermine those of us who speak truth. The reality is many of those attacking us do so because we do not take on their favorite theological fights. Many attack us as payback time because we’ve also revealed the errors of their favorite evangelical leaders. For some, it is a chance to undermine our credibility because they do not agree with our position on Israel, dispensationalism, or the timing of the rapture. Yes, I see the names and know the churches and ministries, and I understand the real agenda of why they oppose what we have said about James White and his interfaith dialogue.

Some defend him because they agree with him theologically on their favorite issues. Some defend him out of love of the good ol’ boy club. Some defend him because they are ignorant, but they don’t desire to learn or even have ears to hear.

While I am not a member of this “private” Facebook group that some of these so-called conservative Bible teachers are, I have seen numerous screen shots. Perhaps we will soon release what has been hidden from plain view so Christians can see who is taking part in this private page of slander, gossip, lies, and completely fabricated stories that attack me, my ministry, and ministry partners like Usama Dakdok, Shahram Hadian, and Chris Pinto. Perhaps on the screen shots we will circle the names of pastors, deacons, elders, and employees of some of the biggest Bible ministries in America and then provide a link to their churches or ministries so all can see how they conduct themselves in this private Facebook page.

Perhaps.

Meanwhile, it is sad that many of these churches and ministries claim to teach Christians how to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel, but apparently in a private Facebook group, that all goes out the window. Unlike their in-the-shadows approach, our Worldview Weekend radio program is open for all to hear. Our Facebook page is there for all to see. Our television program is available for all to watch. This is not only right, but it brings accountability. It also allows anyone that we speak about to openly hear and respond to what we have said. Yet, against us, things are being said “behind our backs” in a private Facebook page by so-called ministers of the gospel.

If the curtain of evangelicalism were drawn back to reveal what I have seen the past few years—e-mails, texts, and screen shots I have of social media postings—I believe there would be many embarrassed people. Then again, maybe (to their shame) they would not be so embarrassed. Maybe some of them have become so arrogant and haughty and self-righteous that they would actually feel no disgrace at all. Sadly, I believe the reputations of some churches and ministries are being put at risk because the organizations’ godly leadership has no idea how their ministry staff or church staff are conducing themselves.

Beyond the Shift

Yes, the seismic shift in so-called conservative evangelicalism is here and, it reveals that many have been playing a game, putting on a show, building personal empires, and giving people what they want publicly while acting in a different manner privately. Men who once warned against the “Strange Fire” of the Word of Faith quickly lost their voice in a chorus of compromise and group consensus within social media.

Leaders who once boasted of their love of the glorious cross showed absolutely no concern about the sword and crescent moon of Islam being merged with the cross of Christ. Those who once cautioned people about the great dangers of the ecumenical movement showed no concern for this event that advanced the movement of ecumenicalism and Chrislam.

Men who warned of the compromise within now themselves compromise to no end. Men once on guard are now asleep at the switch. Those once quick to defend truth are now quick to defend their incomes.

Leaders who once refused to compromise no matter the consequences now refuse their convictions for acceptance of consensus. Men who once were willing to stand alone are now unwilling to stand at all.

The group think, the group consensus, the group of good ol’ boys has left them grouped in the dark, unaware that the light has even departed. Professing to be wise, they are proving to be fools. Professing to be men, they are proving to be neutered. Professing to be uncompromising, they are proving to be compromised. Professing to be men of conviction, they are convicted of being mere men. Professing to be leaders, they are proving to be lemmings. Professing to be conservative men of the Bible, they are proven by the Bible to be men of compromise.

Were the sermons all for show, the books just for sale, the ministries just for profit, and the conferences just for cash? What is one left to think when the men that we thought were pastors are now simply out to pasture? Missing in action, absent without leave, aiding and abetting the enemy of our souls? It really doesn’t matter because the consequences are the same. What was once unthinkable is now acceptable. What was once unheard of is now accepted by much of the herd.

That’s why the unthinkable has occurred! An Islamic Jihadi imam has been embraced in a spiritual enterprise by a so-called conservative evangelical seeking common ground. And other so-called conservative evangelicals embrace and defend him.

What I am watching today reminds me of 1930’s Germany when a small group of men were slandered and trashed for warning the “German Christians” that the church can have no spiritual fellowship with Hitler and his Nazism. Today, men are slandered for warning American Christians that they should have no spiritual fellowship with imams and their Islamo-Nazism. Of course we should evangelize the Muslims—and all people for that matter—but we should not join with them in spiritual enterprises code-named interfaith dialogues.

When the Islamo-Nazis censor your churches and ministries with anti-blasphemy laws, the defenders of this current debate should not dare raise their voices in protest for they are the ones who invited this perilous plight.

When the Marxists and Muslims have implemented the fairness doctrine and hate crime legislation and prohibited radio, television, and websites from biblically refuting their ideology, the aiders and abetters among us don’t deserve to protest for they brought this on themselves.

When their daughters and granddaughters marry Muslim men because they were led to believe they could find common ground between their faiths, they dare not complain about a Muslim son-in-law and the Muslim babies populating the family tree. When American young people convert to Islam right out of our own churches because those who caused the shift defended interfaith dialogues, then know that God will not forget and has warned of the judgement upon those who led these little ones astray. The unthinkable has been accepted as acceptable, but the shift is noticed by few.

Permit me to close with an excerpt from a sermon by John MacArthur on 2 Corinthians 6:14 entitled “Separating from Unbelievers, Part 2.” (By the way, some of our harshest critics claim to love the ministry of John MacArthur. But do they really love MacArthur’s Bible teaching? Do they really love biblical truth? I am beginning to see that perhaps even goats and false converts like to listen to a good sermon because it feeds their desire for more knowledge by which to puff themselves up. They have a brain that desires to obtain knowledge but a heart that rejects its wisdom or application.) I pray these words of Dr. MacArthur will bring the truth back into focus for those who blur the authority of Scripture in order to justify their pragmatism and compromise:

“What has a believer in common with an unbeliever?” To put it another way, “what has faith to do with non-faith?” They’re by very definition mutually exclusive. If you believe this and you don’t believe this, then there’s no common ground. Because believing in the gospel and the Word of God is a totally life-dominating faith. The faithful and the faithless have nothing in common. Their ideologies are mutually exclusive. No spiritual enterprise can be attempted with the view to success that involves such a mingling….

Any attempt to get together in a denomination, any attempt to get together in an association, any attempt to get together in some kind of a ministry of evangelism, a campus ministry, a crusade, any kind of event like that, an attempt to get together in a school setting, an educational environment, and supposedly be able to commonly move toward one goal is ridiculous. Any attempt at fellowship in common spiritual life with unbelievers is ridiculous, damaging and falsely reassuring to that unbeliever.

True Christians have to separate from unbelievers in matters related to ministry, teaching and worship. And when I say teaching, I’m talking about teaching that relates to God and His truth.

So, first of all then, it is irrational to attempt to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. It should be obvious to anybody who can think that this is…mutually impossible to bring these two realms together.

Listen, pagans don’t mind joining with Christians in religious activity. They love it. But we can’t allow it. We cannot allow it. We cannot join with unbelievers in worship or ministry or any enterprise that involves God, nor can we invite them to join our enterprise. And it is because of the sacrilege of it.

Any joining to unbelievers is putting idols in the temple of God, or putting the temple of God in an idol temple. It is blatantly, overtly, intolerably sacrilegious.

Those whose passion is righteousness cannot partner up with those whose passion is lawlessness in any common spiritual enterprise. And it doesn’t help God. It’s not a clever way to achieve His purposes; it is a violation of His Word.

Can we make spiritual heroes out of the people that violate these commands? I would think, rather, that a call for church discipline would be in order.

For believers, there can be no compromise. We cannot engage ourselves with unbelievers in any spiritual enterprise. That’s the issue: “Do not be bound together with unbelievers.” That is the command that sets this text in motion. And it is an unmistakable call to believers to separate from unbelievers. No one could miss that that’s what it’s saying.

So, neither should anyone miss the seriousness of the great shift that has happened.

Be clear on what is at stake if we fail to call out James White and those who support him. White has violated specific instructions of Scripture on at least three counts:

  1. He has violated the prohibitions of 2 Corinthians 6:14, Ephesians 5:11, and 2 John 9-11 against engaging in spiritual enterprises with non-believers.
  2. He has given aid and comfort to our enemies by mainstreaming, legitimizing, and offering credibility to the beliefs of an Islamic Jihadi imam.
  3. He has confused Muslims, non-Christians, and other non-believers about the true gospel.

With respect, then, to the seismic shift White and his supporters have set off within evangelicalism, let this article stand as part of the historical record that everyone can look back on between now and the return of Christ: we have identified the disastrous shift and its catalyst. Like those who stood against the Nazism of 1930s Germany, we at Worldview Weekend are willing, no matter what the cost, to warn believers against being consumed by this great shift. Usama Dakdok, Shahram Hadian, and I will continue to raise our voices against those like James White who compromise with the powers of darkness.

And so I ask you: Will you add your voice to ours? Or will you, too, become an Islamist’s dupe and a minister for unrighteousness.

I hope and pray that you will stand with righteousness, but make no mistake, the cost is high (“all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution”—2 Timothy 3:11, NKJV), yet the reward is great:

“the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18, NKJV)
