The Epoch Times reports that Colorado Governor Jared Polis issued an emergency disaster declaration in his state over an outbreak of bird flu in northeastern Weld County as officials recently reported that 1.8 million chickens were impacted by the virus. The emergency declaration came after one person – yes one person – contracted bird flu and suffered minor symptoms before making a full recovery.

The governor verbally and unilaterally declared a disaster after “an avian flu outbreak in a commercial poultry facility in Weld County,” according to a news release from his office issued on Monday, July 8.

The declaration means Colorado can use its emergency powers to “take all necessary and appropriate state actions to assist with response, recovery, and mitigation efforts,” according to the news release.

The state could order testing, lockdowns, force people into quarantine, anything.

In an update issued on July 8, the Colorado Department of Agriculture confirmed that 1.78 million chickens were impacted by avian influenza.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said in a statement on July 3 that a dairy farm worker in northeastern Colorado was infected with the H5N1 bird flu and had direct exposure to cattle infected with the virus. His only symptom was a mild case of conjunctivitis, otherwise known as pink eye, the agency confirmed.

The agency said last week in a news release:

“He has recovered. This case is an employee at a dairy farm in northeast Colorado who had direct exposure to dairy cattle infected with avian flu. To protect patient privacy, additional details are not being provided.”

It’s not clear if the infected farm worker had any connection to the infected chickens in Weld County. Officials in the state said the bird flu risk to Colorado residents remains low, noting that the virus is spreading among animals.

Rachel Herlihy, state epidemiologist, said in a statement that the virus is “not adapted to spread from person to person. Right now, the most important thing to know is that people who have regular exposure to infected animals are at increased risk of infection and should take precautions when they have contact with sick animals.”

Joe Biden is unfit to serve another term, according to ABC News’s George Stephanopolous, who recently conducted a sit-down interview with the 81-year-old president.

The mainstream media operative revealed his sentiments in an unusually candid off-hand comment to a passerby, video of which was obtained by TMZ.

In the video, the passerby asks Stephanopolous, “Do you think Biden should step down? You’ve talked to him more than anybody else has lately.”

“I don’t think he can serve four more years,” Stephanopolous states bluntly.

Following the exchange Stephanopolous informed TMZ he made the comment in error, saying, “Earlier today, I responded to a question from a passerby. I shouldn’t have.”

A representative for ABC noted his comment was not representative of the network, saying, “George expressed his own point of view and not the position of ABC News.”

Stephanopolous’ assessment follows last Friday’s 22-minute interview with Biden, where the president addressed his abysmal debate performance and remained defiant on dropping out of the presidential race.

Disney family heiress Abigail Disney said she is halting donations to the Democratic Party as long as Joe Biden is the party's nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

Abigail Disney is the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, who co-founded The Walt Disney Company with Walt Disney. She joined actor George Clooney, who also made a public statement Tuesday that Biden needs to go.

The 64-year-old Abigail Disney said she would be withholding all financial support to the Democratic Party until Biden exits the race.

She told CNBC:

“I intend to stop any contributions to the party unless and until they replace Biden at the top of the ticket. This is realism, not disrespect. Biden is a good man and has served his country admirably, but the stakes are far too high. If Biden does not step down the Democrats will lose. Of that I am absolutely certain. The consequences for the loss will be genuinely dire.”

Biden has said he is totally committed to running in the 2024 election, and while calls for him to step down were initially echoed by Democratic Party members, many, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have changed course and are now doubling down on backing Biden.

Abigail Disney’s recommendation for who should replace Biden on the Democrat ticket is quite hilarious and shows a low level of awareness about political realities. She suggested Vice President Kamala Harris should replace Biden in order to beat Trump.

In other news, new research published in the journal Microorganisms reveals that one of the health consequences of getting the COVID jab is a loss of life expectancy.

The paper, called “A Critical Analysis of All-Cause Deaths during COVID-19 Vaccination in an Italian Province,” examines death rates among different groups of people, including unvaccinated, one-dose injected, two-dose injected, and three- or more-dose injected. The bottom-line finding is that those who get the most shots are the most likely to die prematurely. 

People who get jabbed with two doses of a COVID shot are 137 percent more likely than the unvaccinated to die within 739 days post-jab.

The authors of the study explained, “We found all-cause death risks to be even higher for those vaccinated with one and two doses compared to the unvaccinated and that the booster doses were ineffective.”

The Federalist reports that China has likely upgraded and expanded its spying facilities in Cuba, according to a new report by an American think tank. The report not only confirms that a Cold War between China and the U.S. has already started, but also raises new concerns that China may be aiming to bring it to America’s doorstep.

According to the article, “this poses potentially severe and grave implications for the U.S.”

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, produced the study as a follow-up to The Wall Street Journal’s reporting last year that revealed China had secretly agreed to pay cash-strapped Cuba several billion dollars to establish a Chinese electronic eavesdropping facility on the island. This facility is likely to be used for intercepting communications and gathering intelligence on the United States and its allies, according to the report.

The White House initially insisted that the Journal’s report was inaccurate. Yet, two days later, a U.S. official confirmed that China had a spy base in Cuba since at least 2019. The Biden administration then claimed that it had taken steps to “slow down Beijing’s efforts to expand its intelligence gathering” without elaborating on those steps. 

CSIS examined years’ worth of satellite images and released its findings last week. CSIS finds that, contrary to what the Biden administration has said, China has probably sped up, not slowed down, its intelligence-gathering effort in Cuba.

CSIS’s investigation identified four electronic spying stations in Cuba that have been upgraded and expanded. For example, CSIS noticed from satellite images that the site at Wajay, Cuba, “has gradually expanded over the past 20 years, growing from just one antenna and several small buildings in 2002 to a robust complex today. It now hosts 12 antennas of various sizes and orientations.”

Since we’re on the subject of Chinese spying, this next story is going to take it to a whole new level. Even I was shocked by this one and I don’t get shocked by much. 

We hear a lot about how Communist China uses Chinese-owned tech companies like TikTok and Huawei to gather data and spy on Americans.

But a report uncovered by Fortune and picked up by Breitbart makes TikTok look literally like child’s play when it comes to spy craft.

Fortune reports that Chinese-owned companies have been quietly testing their self-driving cars on American roads, particularly in California. And now experts are raising alarms about the potential national security risks associated with these vehicles, which have been described as rolling surveillance devices.

Since 2017, self-driving cars owned by Chinese companies have traversed 1.8 million miles in California alone, according to data from the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles. These vehicles, equipped with advanced cameras, sensors, and mapping technology, are capable of collecting massive amounts of data about their surroundings, including detailed video footage and precise geospatial information.

Among the 35 companies approved to test autonomous vehicles in California, seven are wholly or partly Chinese-based. Five of these companies — WeRide, Apollo, AutoX, Pony.ai, and DiDi Research America — were active on California roads last year. Some also have permission to test in other states, including Arizona and Texas.

The concern lies not just in the amount of data collected, but also in how it’s stored and potentially accessed. Some Chinese self-driving car companies appear to store U.S. data in China, according to privacy policies reviewed by Fortune. This arrangement leaves the data accessible to the Chinese government.

Craig Singleton, director of the China program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, described the situation as “literally the wild, wild west,” highlighting the lack of oversight and regulation in this area. The potential uses of this data range from mass surveillance to detailed mapping that could aid in war planning.

Despite these concerns, there is a surprising lack of scrutiny and regulation surrounding these Chinese-owned self-driving cars. State and federal agencies overseeing the testing of autonomous vehicles acknowledge that they do not currently monitor or have any process for checking what data these vehicles are collecting or how it’s being used.

The data collected by these vehicles could provide valuable intelligence on infrastructure, population movements, and even individual behaviors, Fortune reports. In the wrong hands, this information could be used for everything from targeted disinformation campaigns to more sinister purposes like assassination planning, according to some experts cited by Fortune.

Natural News reports that a growing number of Russians are expressing readiness to support Vladimir Putin's potential use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine. According to recent surveys by the Levada Center, approximately 34 percent of respondents – slightly more than one in three – would either definitely or likely approve of the use of nuclear arms in the conflict.

This marks an increase of 5 percent from a year ago and represents the highest level of support since Putin began his military intervention in Ukraine.

The findings reveal a nuanced spectrum of public opinion, with 31 percent firmly against the use of nuclear weapons and an additional 21 percent leaning toward opposition. This upward trend in support for nuclear options is widely attributed to effective messaging from Russian propagandists seeking to rally nationalistic sentiments in favor of such drastic measures.

Recent developments have seen Vladimir Putin ordering tactical nuclear missile drills across Russia and in neighboring Belarus, where major deployments of atomic weaponry have been established.

On the other side of the conflict, the U.S. and NATO are likewise upgrading their military readiness in the European theater, putting tens of thousands of NATO troops on high alert and bringing new countries into the alliance.

Sweden and Finland, two historically neutral countries, have joined NATO, and Ukraine is being treated as a de facto member of the alliance.

At the NATO summit in Washington this week, the focus has been on continuing and increasing the support for Ukraine in NATO’s proxy war with Russia. They refer to the relationship as “greater interoperability.”

Zero Hedge reports the alliance has boosted its defense spending by more than $180 billion each year since 2020.

At the defense ministers’ meeting last month, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, “Over the next five years, NATO Allies across Europe and Canada plan to acquire thousands of air defense and artillery systems, 850 modern aircraft – mostly 5th generation F-35s – and also a lot of other high-end capabilities.”

In fact, NATO announced it is creating an entirely new command center whose sole purpose is to coordinate a beefed up security arrangement with Ukraine.

The center’s creation also could be seen as a means of institutionalizing the long-term commitment of Western and Indo-Pacific nations, such as Japan, Korea and Australia, to Ukraine, Zero Hedge reports. The support is even being Trump-proofed, by including agreements to continue despite changes in administrations as would occur in the United States if Donald Trump is elected.

If that doesn’t sound like Ukraine has been graced with full NATO membership, I don’t know what would.

KTLA 5 in Los Angeles reports that six illegal aliens, all living in Southern California, have been charged by federal authorities for their alleged roles in a sweeping, multi-state conspiracy to install so-called skimming devices on automated teller machines and checkout point-of-sale units at retail stores.

Skimming devices allow fraudsters to read and capture account information and PIN numbers when customers swipe or insert their credit, debit, and EBT cards to complete a purchase on terminals where the devices have been attached, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s District of Rhode Island Office stated.   

“The information obtained from the skimming devices is then used to create counterfeit cards that can be used to fraudulently obtain cash from victims’ bank accounts, or to make purchases.” 

Authorities say that the individuals, four of which are citizens of Romania, one from Great Britain and another from Ireland who have all been living in Orange County, allegedly withdrew as much as $300,000 from the bank accounts of unsuspecting victims and have made a yet unknown number of retail purchases. 

The alleged operation was discovered in October 2023 when police in Bristol, Rhode Island, began an investigation into where skimming devices discovered on ATMs at a local bank branch came from, the release noted.  

Later, federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations recovered skimming devices from 22 separate locations of a major retailer in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and New York.

The Gateway Pundit reports that New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has introduced articles of impeachment against conservative Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

This follows her previous threat of impeachment against the six conservative justices after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of former President Donald Trump’s immunity from prosecution for alleged crimes committed during his tenure.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Ocasio-Cortez was among the many leftists to freak out over the Supreme Court’s verdict on Trump’s immunity.

Following a ruling from the Supreme Court that Donald Trump does have immunity from prosecution over supposed crimes he committed in office, AOC took to the X platform to threaten impeachment against the six conservative justices.

She wrote:

“The Supreme Court has become consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control. Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture. I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return.”

Now she’s narrowed her hit list down to the two most conservative justices, Thomas and Alito.

The Democrats have declared war on the rule of law. Senator Chuck Schumer already has issued threats of violence against the Supreme Court Justices when he found out that they were about to overturn Roe v. Wade. He warned that they were about to reap “a whirlwind” of backlash. 

Now we have AOC misusing the impeachment process because she disagrees with some of the High Court’s decisions. Name me one politician who is happy with the outcome of every federal case that comes before the Supreme Court. You won’t find one. But do they go off half-cocked and file articles of impeachment? No. Only a radical leftist lunatic would act in such an unhinged manner.

Unfortunately, the Congress is loaded with unhinged radical leftists.
