Chick-fil-A, a popular fast-food chain known for its religious roots, is facing a conservative revolt and calls for a boycott following the appointment of its Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Some conservative groups claim that the company has succumbed to "woke" culture, as they believe DEI initiatives are tied to leftist ideologies. This controversy raises questions about Chick-fil-A's commitment to its traditional conservative values and highlights the challenges companies face in navigating societal shifts.

The backlash against Chick-fil-A stems from its historical association with anti-LGBTQ organizations and sporadic financial support for such causes. The appointment of Eric McReynolds, the VP of DEI, has sparked criticism among conservatives who view it as a move towards progressive ideologies. DEI, broadly defined as incorporating principles aimed at creating diverse and inclusive work environments, has become a topic of contention among conservatives in recent years.

Brannon Howse on his television show Brannon Howse Live, suggested that Chick-fil-A's inclusion efforts may be driven by the desire to improve their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) scores, which measure a company's sustainability and societal impact. Howse draws parallels to other companies, like Bud Light, engaging in transgender initiatives to boost their ESG scores. He emphasizes the need for Chick-fil-A to prove its commitment to conservative values in the face of adversity and pressures from cultural shifts.

Notably, Howse references Chick-fil-A's previous statements in support of traditional marriage, which drew widespread support in 2012 but also raised questions about the company's actions aligning with its words. He expressed skepticism at the time and now suggests that Chick-fil-A's current situation affirms his concerns from over a decade ago that Chick-fil-A was full of feathers and pulling off a PR stunt to increase
product loyalty with their customers that were largely based in the south. Howse suggested that now that Chick-fil-A has expanded outside the Bible-belt t must appease the liberals in local governments that grant the necessary approvals for their 
chicken shacks to open or to be accepted inside the new DEI and ESG scoring system. On a personal note Howse said he tried one of their chicken sandwiches years ago but spit it out after hitting gristle. Howse admitted that he is spoiled by his wife's
amazing cooking talents and could not stoop to eat at Chick-fil-A with his discriminating
pallet. Howse wondered if his food descrimination will lower his government social credit score. 

The article concludes with Howse urging Chick-fil-A to denounce the DEI concept, discontinue the office, and reclaim its identity as a traditional conservative American company. He cites Mike Lindell as an example of an individual who has withstood backlash and remained steadfast in his beliefs.
