The Sermon on the Mount is best known for its sublime Beatitudes: like “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven…” But many forget that Jesus went on to give some very pointed teaching on morality: going so far as to tell those in lust to pluck out their eyes.
