When winning Olympians take home their gold medals, they don’t hide them. They put them on display for the nation to see. The love of God was put on display when Jesus willingly went to the cross to die for our sins. His sacrifice was visible that day in Jerusalem, and, through the eye of faith, it is visible—even now—to those who trust Him for the salvation His death purchased.
