There was plenty of news to share as our nation began a new chapter in its history with a new president and vice president.  Below is a brief sample from the group of stories highlighted by Jim:

–On this day in 1973, the majority of the Supreme Court made the decision that it’s constitutional to kill a baby in the womb.  Since Roe v. Wade there have been 62,553,810 deaths by abortion in the U.S. as of the beginning of this broadcast.  It’s the number one cause of death.

–Last Saturday, President Trump recognized Religious Freedom Day in a special proclamation and encouraged Americans to celebrate one of the nation’s most cherished, fundamental values.

–NARAL Pro-Choice America believes we have to re-imagine a world where access to abortion is a reality for everyone.

–Joe Scheidler, leading advocate of the pro-life movement, has died.

–The ‘Value Them Both’ Amendment gets passed in the Kansas House of Representatives.

–The case called Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization challenges the state law prohibiting the direct killing of pre-born children after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

–Dr. Anthony Fauci assures us that the U.S. will remain a member of the World Health Organization and will support the sexual and reproductive health of women and girls.  To that end, President Biden will be revoking the Mexico City Policy.

–Nancy Pelosi will be delivering articles of impeachment concerning President Trump to the Senate this Monday.

–South Carolina-based lawyer Butch Bowers will be a lead attorney in President Trump’s Senate impeachment trial over charges that he incited insurrection.

–The Capitol riot on January 6th is said to have begun 30 minutes prior to the end of President Trump’s speech.

–People caught on video changing into Trump clothing in order to disguise themselves as being Trump supporters.

–John Earle Sullivan insists he’s not a member of Antifa or Black Lives Matter.  

–Mike Lindell, the founder and CEO of My Pillow, is under fire from major retailers Kohl’s and Bed, Bath and Beyond who have recently dropped his products.

–More than 22,000 people have signed a petition calling for Franklin Graham to be fired from Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association due to his support for President Trump.

–Thousands of National Guardsmen stationed in D.C. congressional buildings were told to vacate the premises yesterday and to take rest breaks during their 12 hour shifts either outside or in nearby parking garages.  5,000 troops were allegedly forced to rest on the hard floors of a parking garage that lacked Internet reception, contained a single electrical outlet and lone rest room with just two stalls.  

–Hillary Clinton floated a new Trump/Russian collusion narrative in a recent podcast.

–Many Georgia Democrats who backed Warnock and Ossoff in the Senate runoff earlier this month are already outraged over not receiving $2,000 checks as promised by Joe Biden.

–The vice president of White Castle has indicated that raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 per hour would force the closure of nearly half of his company’s locations.

–Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks it’s time to pour more money into efforts to de-radicalize and de-program the population.

–A ‘prayer service’ for the Joe Biden administration featured a trans-activist, Catholic nuns and a reading from the Qur’an.
