Topic: SBC mega pastor, Ronnie Floyd recommends the unbiblical book The Circle Maker. Add this to his promotion of the book by WOF author Richard Morris and many should be asking is the SBC about to have its first openly embracing Word of Faith President if Floyd is elected in the summer of 2014? Topic: Some of the New Religious Right are concerned that religious liberties are at risk because a leftist organization has concerns about a Chief of Police in Alabama assisting in organizing prayer walks through Birmingham, Alabama. Howse says he is not a liberal leftist himself but he explains why he also has concerns with what this Police Chief is doing along with the organization he is working with. Prayer walking or mapping a city in order to “drive out powers of darkness that have attempted to steal, kill, and destroy God’s people” or prayer walking in order to “take spiritual authority in their communities” is not Biblical. This seems very similar to the false teaching of binding demons or Satan through prayer walking as taught by C. Peter Wagner and the New Apostolic Reformation. Topic: Brannon explains what the Bible teaches in regard to spiritual warfare. Topic: Brannon also explains that if a community wants to see a decrease in crime they should walk through the neighborhoods sharing the gospel and putting a New Testament in the doors of the residence or give them a free copy of the CD by Ray Comfort entitled Hell’s Best Kept Secret. The gospel is what transforms a life and if enough people in community are transformed through the gospel it can have an impact on a community in a positive manner. However, prayer walking in an attempt to “drive out powers of darkness” is not even possible Biblically speaking. Topic: We take your calls.
