Leading off tonight, Germany’s conservative Christian Democrat Union (CDU) political party won national elections Saturday with 29 percent of the vote.

The populist pro-Germany AfD roared into second place with 19.5 percent of the vote.

The Gateway Pundit noted that the likely scenario to follow will be that the CDU will join with the failed left-wing Social Democrats (SPD) to form a government. The Social Democrats are currently in power and, like America’s Democrats tried to do here, they are destroying the country.

It would make more sense for the Christian Democrat Union to join with the AfD to govern Germany but that is not how it works in globalist Western Europe.

Science journalist Dr. Simon Goddek posted on his X account Sunday:

“The deindustrialization of Germany will continue. Energy prices will stay sky-high. Free speech will keep getting crushed. And let’s not forget: every single establishment party, including the pseudo-libertarians (FDP), was in favor of mandatory mRNA injections. Only the AfD stood against it. This isn’t about left vs. right. It’s about the system vs. the people. And today, the system just claimed another victory.”

The health crisis of Pope Francis appears to have subsided, at least for now.

The pope, who has been battling double pneumonia, remained in critical condition Sunday and his prognosis is still guarded, but he is improving, the Vatican said on Sunday.

The 88-year-old pope was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital on February 14 after having trouble breathing for several days and subsequently had pneumonia diagnosed in both lungs.

The pope required a transfusion of two units of blood on Saturday after experiencing a prolonged asthma-like respiratory crisis, according to the latest medical update.

The Vatican said on Sunday:

“The condition of the Holy Father remains critical; however, since last night he has not experienced further respiratory crises.”

Blood tests also indicated “an initial, slight renal insufficiency, which is currently under control,” it said, referring to the functioning of the kidneys.

CNN reports that the retired Air Force general announced as the new chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by President Trump is a respected career F-16 pilot who is described by his military peers as a professional with a “strong moral center.”

John Dan Caine, who was first noticed by Trump in 2018 for his involvement in the fight against ISIS, has spent much of his career working in special operations and with the intelligence community. He is described as mild-mannered, humble and apolitical, the officials told CNN. He has long flown under the radar given the highly classified nature of his work, and he preferred it that way, the officials said.

A military official who served with Caine and has known him for over a decade told CNN that criticisms about Caine being a partisan hack are blatantly false:

“In my personal experience and professional experience, I’ve never seen any indication that, and knowing him, he’s never been partial to any political party or mentioned anything about politics in our time together.”

Caine was thrust into a political firestorm when Trump announced Friday he would replace General Charles Q. Brown, who had served as Joint Chiefs chairman since October 2023.

Caine was seen as a surprise pick by many, mostly because he was a 3-star and not a 4-star general, and because he was already retired.

Caine has been in unexpected positions before. On the morning of 9/11, he was serving at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, DC. Though he wasn’t initially scheduled to fly that day, he ultimately became the mission commander over the capital, armed with air-to-air missiles on alert for threats to the nation, he recalled in an interview with “The Afterburn Podcast” several weeks ago.

“It’s about being willing to protect and defend this nation and to work alongside incredible professionals who are equally willing to go to the mat in defense of our nation,” Caine said.

Trump has raved about Caine for years after the two met in Iraq during the president’s first term.

In remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2019, the president recalled that Caine told him when they met in Iraq that the U.S. could have the campaign against ISIS “totally finished in one week.”

Trump said at the time:

“Why didn’t my other generals tell me that?” 

In a post on Truth Social on Friday night, Trump called Caine a “warfighter” who was “instrumental in the complete annihilation of the ISIS caliphate.”

The American Center for Law and Justice is warning about travel to the United Kingdom.

The legal organization has published an analysis of the threat the UK's ideological leftism now poses. 

It writes:

“The UK has declared that it will charge and prosecute Americans for their social media posts, written while still in America, if they travel to its borders. The ACLJ has prepared a legal memo detailing the specific laws at play and the danger for Americans. Specifically, it details how your speech on the internet could violate the UK's broad hate speech laws and how you could be arrested as soon as you step foot in the UK for your posts back home.”

It further states:

“If an American speaks in the United States in a way that UK officials construe as affecting their national interest or even producing substantial effects within the country, even if it's just a statement about your Christian faith or your political stance, then you could be arrested upon entry to the UK.”

This is the nation famed worldwide for the Constitution-inspiring Magna Carta, one of the premier listings of individual rights, church rights, and impartial justice.

But the ACLJ warns:

“UK officials have boasted how proud they are of this initiative: The UK's Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, said in a press conference, ‘We will throw the full force of the law at people. . .  And whether you're in this country committing crimes on the streets or committing crimes from further afield online, we will come after you.’”

Adding to the threat was Prime Minister Keir Starmer, “I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder whether directly or those whipping up this action online.”

The ACLJ warned it clearly is conservatives who are being targeted.

And, what qualifies as illegal speech actually is “at the whim of the police and officials, as the laws themselves are too vague to define specific violations.”

For example, one law criminalizes “threatening, abusive or insulting words” and another targets messaging deemed “grossly offensive.”

Be further warned, travelers are told, that European courts regularly affirm the validity of such attacks on conservatives and their speech.

A major shake-up is underway at MSNBC as the network's new president has canceled far-left prime-time host Joy Reid's show, The ReidOut.

Reid's final episode is planned for this week, according to sources, adding that her prime-time spot will be swapped out with several anchors, including political commentator Symone Sanders Townsend, former Democratic strategist and former chairman of the Republican National Committee Michael Steele, and journalist Alicia Menendez. 

The move signals Rebecca Kutler's effort to overhaul MSNBC after being named the network's president earlier this month. Ratings have plummeted since Trump secured the White House in last November's presidential election. Many hosts, including Reid, have been visibly struggling with severe cases of Trump derangement syndrome.

The crazed TV host has been one of the loudest Trump bashers in corporate media and still does not have enough common sense to understand the Overton Window shifted last summer from artificially being held at the left to now center-right. 

Yet, to this day, she continues to spread far-left misinformation and disinformation propaganda, even as ratings plummet—not just for her show, but for the entire network.

An American Airlines flight en route from New York to Delhi was diverted to Rome due to what the airline described as a “possible security issue.”

The incident has raised concerns among passengers and aviation authorities, with multiple mainstream news outlets providing updates as the situation unfolded.

According to ABC News, American Airlines Flight 292 departed from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, bound for Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

The flight was diverted mid-journey and landed safely at Leonardo da Vinci Rome Airport. The airline confirmed the diversion in a statement, noting that a potential security concern prompted it but did not elaborate further at the time.

An airport spokesperson confirmed to ABC News that the plane touched down without incident, though details surrounding the nature of the threat remained unclear.

The Times of India reported that the diversion was linked to a suspected bomb threat, adding a layer of urgency to the incident.

The publication noted that the aircraft had circled over western Italy before landing, possibly to burn off excess fuel—a standard procedure in such situations to ensure a safer landing weight.

This aligns with standard aviation protocols when a security issue arises mid-flight, though American Airlines has yet to confirm the bomb threat claim officially.

CNN provided additional context, stating that the flight was escorted to Rome by the Italian Air Force, a measure often taken when an aircraft is perceived to be at risk.

The New American reports that when the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) psychological torture of baby monkeys threatened to become a scandal a decade ago, then-NIH Director Francis Collins and his subordinates deceived the public while strategizing their approach to the matter via private emails they hoped would never be discovered.

However, thanks to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which obtained the emails in 2020 through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, and the Daily Caller, which reported on the emails Friday, the deceitfulness of Collins and company has now been exposed.

For more than 30 years, Stephen Suomi conducted experiments on baby monkeys in a Maryland NIH laboratory. These experiments included intentionally breeding monkeys to be predisposed to mental illness, separating newborn monkeys from their mothers, frightening them with loud noises, and placing them in cages with their incapacitated mothers.

Suomi’s experiments were allegedly designed to mimic abuse of human children so scientists could better understand how it affects them.

PETA began putting pressure on NIH in 2014 after obtaining video footage of the experiments, some of which includes researchers’ laughter at the monkeys’ distress. Eventually, the group recruited primatologist Jane Goodall to appeal to Collins to end the experiments.

The emails PETA obtained, which cover April to July 2014, demonstrate NIH’s determination to do the minimum necessary to put the scandal behind it while shielding Collins from all blame. The emails were sent through private email accounts, a tactic former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Anthony Fauci and his subordinates also employed in an effort to avoid FOIA discovery.

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

We’ve heard a lot about the woke policies in the military, where over the last five or six years, leading officers such as General Mark Milley have said the military was too white and needed to change attitudes that draw in more racial and sexual minorities.

New Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has made it a priority to cancel these woke policies and return the military to its mission of being able to fight and win wars, when necessary.

But it’s not just the military that has gone woke.

The Biden administration martialed a whole of government approach to its racialized bigotry toward white Americans and especially Christians who happened to be white.

So, there’s too many white people going to national parks, and the assumption is this must be a turnoff to anyone with a darker skin tone.

That’s about as absurd as it is destructive.

This cultural Marxist policy of dividing people along racial lines has permeated the entire government. 

And the sooner we can get rid of this idea that people should be herded like cattle into separate groups according to the color of their skin, the better off this nation will be.
