Brannon Howse: We're going to be joined here by just one second by Anne Vandersteel. Before we do, let me show you a couple of interesting articles tonight. Here's one from 530, 530, May 30th. That is today, folks. And what is it? Chick-fil-A says Newsweek faces a conservative revolt. Whoa. What's going on? So I went looked over here at the Hill. Chick-fil-A's leader Sparks calls for a boycott. That's over at the Hill. What's going on? News of Chick-fil-A having the vice president of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Dei has some conservative groups calling for a boycott. The fast-food giant has been a favorite among many over the years, due in large part to its religious roots and sporadic financial support of anti-LGBTQ organizations. But a previous announcement of Eric McReynolds, VP of Dei, who has been with the company's Dei segment since 2020, has some claiming the company has gone woke. It's unclear why news of Chick-fil-A's previous Dei initiatives took off on social media Tuesday, though it may be possible due to several viral posts. Loosely defined Dei is a variable set of principles that organizations and companies are increasingly incorporating in their work environments, as explained by job resource outlets. Indeed. Dei quote is often used to describe the programs and initiatives a company has in place to improve those areas. In section, Dei's actions can include actions like hiring more diverse employees, making pay more equitable, and including training for nonminority employees on how to support their minority colleagues. For instance, the principle has been criticized by many conservatives in recent years.

Brannon Howse: Well, of course, they have, because. This whole idea of diversity, inclusion, and equity. Uh, it's really about social credit scores. So I don't know, is. Is Chick-fil-A here trying to get their ESG score, looking better environment, social governance scores better? Is that what caused Bud Light to do? Their whole transgender thing is there are people working to get their government ESG scores up. Are they seeing what's going on? Now? For those of you that have been people are workinglong-time followers of mine? You will remember that I did not jump on the Chick-fil-A bandwagon. What was it back in 2012? I didn't jump on the Chick-fil-A bandwagon. If you go back and listen to my show in 2012 on the radio, I was very specific. I appreciated the stand that Chick-fil-A was taking. And here's Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. You can show that guy, and it's Franklin Graham's stand with Chick-fil-A in support of traditional marriage. You guys remember that just a few days ago, Dan Cathy, president of Chick-fil-A, affirmed his stance on the sanctity of traditional marriage. Well, what happened? Do you guys remember when they did that? It was a huge boom for their business. And at the time, in 2012 on the radio, I said, that's not a hard stand. And when your stores are predominantly in the South in 2012 to say you stand with traditional marriage, that's not such a hard stand. It's just words for the most part, right? Well, it sure resulted in lines around their stores right here in the mid-South.

Brannon Howse: And I said, let the government start cracking down on people. Let it become a really tough thing to be a conservative Christian. And let's see how Chick-fil-A does and any of you, you can come back to me, any of you that remember that show and you'll find it in our archives knows that I said, I'm sorry. I'm not jumping on the Chick-fil-A bandwagon because somebody said something that sounds nice. I want to see that they'll stand the test of time. Well, then it came out that Chick-fil-A may have contributed to some organizations they shouldn't have been, but now it's coming out. They suppose working long-timely. Again, I'm quoting numerous articles, including The Hill. Chick-fil-A's. Dei Leader. Again, Dei Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. So I hate to say I told you so, but in 2012, I warned a lot of people will say what sounds good, particularly if you're based in the South, largely with your restaurants, which are now growing, by the way. I particularly don't care for Chick-fil-A sandwiches. I don't care for them, but I know people love them. They eat Chick fil all the time. I know the guys in our control room eat a lot of Chick-fil-A. I don't care for it. I. They don't ever ask, do they? Can we get you a chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A? Because the answer is a resounding no. I don't like their food, period.

Brannon Howse: I don't like most fast-food restaurants, for that matter. But I don't care for their food. But some love it. I have friends and people that work for me. They love it and that's great. Eat what you want. But to think that these guys were some kind of bastion of conservatism, I warned in 2012 when the heat comes on, I want to see if Chick fil-A will stand. Words are cheap. I might appreciate the words, but words don't usually cost you too much. It's action. So I want to get more information before I pass full judgment on Chick-fil-A here versus just taking something that's in the news and on a few websites. I want to get more information and follow this. But if it's what I think it is, it's precisely what I warned about in 2012. People can sound good, and say the right things when it doesn't come with much of a price. But let's see when the whole culture shifts. If they're willing to take a strong stand and maybe what I need to do is go back in my archives and pull out that 2012 audio because once again, I'm right. Is that an arrogant statement? No, it's not. It's a statement based on the fact I'm 54 years old. Some of you are a lot younger. Some of you are a lot older. And those of you that are older will know if you've been around a while. You start figuring out human behavior and you start to figure out what's a good business decision based on who your business model and customers are and what is pragmatism.

Brannon Howse: And I was afraid that that might be a little of a lot of things mixed in. And then when it cost you to stand, will you? Hey, one guy we can say that has been tested to stand as been Mike Lindell. Have you ever seen a guy taking it in the kneecaps? As many times as he does and he keeps standing. So here's what I say to Chick-fil-A. If you want to cut this off at the pass, come out right now. Denounce this idea of Dei diversity, inclusion, equity, and garbage. Denounce this ESG social credit score. Scores for corporations tChick-fil-Awon't be complying. And Minnesota, you can take your bias registry. You know, and kiss off because we're not going to kowtow to your threats, your bullying, your Naziism, your Islamo-Nazism, whatever you want to call it, and whoever's behind it. So Chick-fil-A now's the time to hold a press conference and denounce this whole idea of diversity, equity, and inclusion as defined by the cultural Marxist and quit using their terms, get rid of this office. Denounce it. Get rid of it. And just stand as traditional conservative Americans. Don't make me say I told you so about Chick-fil-A in 2012. Prove me wrong by getting rid of this supposed and reported Dei vice president. Maybe put him on to something else. I'm not saying fire him but get rid of this title. Diversity, Equity. Inclusion. Give me a break.
