Passage: 1 Thessalonians 2:7-9

Description: Paul’s labor for the church at Thessalonica was often like the labor of a mother for her children.  A mother labors hard day and night because of a deep love for her children.  As Paul relates his own labor for the church he describes his maternal ministry like a mother in three ways: the attitude of a mother; the affection of a mother and the agony and action of a mother.
