THE PROVIDENTIAL WILL OF GOD
Chris continues the discussion on what the Reformed teachers saw as God’s providential will and how it is necessary for believers to distinguish between this, and the preceptive will of God. Concerning government, Romans chapter 13 tells us that whoever resists “the power” of the State is resisting “the ordinance of God” and that those who are guilty will be condemned. But can a wicked ruler be called “the ordinance of God” if he rejects the clearly stated commandments of God?
