Topic: Since about 2005 the Real I.D. Act has been moving forward as federal policy. This federal policy It would require Americans to turn over their biometrics to the government and this system would be tied to an international system. Mark explains that biometrics includes facial recognition software that Congressional legislation will require every employer regardless of size to collect on each prospective employee. The employer then would be required to provide the biometrics to the Department of Homeland Security. Federal law would require that states collect a digital facial image/photograph of all driver's license applicants that is facial recognition compatible. With identify theft on the rise how might the Real I.D. Act make the problem worse.
